Dorothy

It's been a tough stretch. I am about to lose my friend--probably in the next couple of days--who will be the second to pass away in a couple of short months. Dorothy was one of my professors at Pacifica and she grew into a friend over time. She was one of the most vibrant, loving, insightful women I have ever met. She was diagnosed with Lewy Bodies Dementia about a year ago and her decline has been steady. Ironically, she was a longtime therapist and held so many people's psyches and stories within her and now that's all but gone. I have to imagine that those stories stay with her somehow. It's just too sad to think of them disappearing.
