it may not look like much maybe it is not much
but it was a place i looked forward to being five days a week
for seven years
now i have just five days left
the people who breathed the life into it are long gone
so leaving won't be too hard
but maybe still, a little hard

The plant next to my desk, by the way, had two drooping, brown leaves on it when I rescued it from the trash can about four years ago. It may be one of my proudest accomplishments.
Did you take the plant home with you Jennifer? What a tidy desk you have and I see La Gioconda on the wall, I also have her in my study ;-)
